Carlos: I’ve always been driven to carve my own path and build something from the ground up. That entrepreneurial spirit led me to real estate back in 2004 when I was living in Florida. I started flipping homes, gaining experience, and learning how to make deals work. But the 2008 market crash changed everything. By 2010, I lost two properties and had to file for bankruptcy. It was a tough reset.
That same year, I moved to Idaho. Starting fresh, I opened a furniture store. It wasn’t real estate, but it was a way to rebuild after the crash. Over the next seven years, I grew the business, becoming a part of the community here. In 2017, I sold it, knowing deep down real estate was my passion. I returned to what I love—helping people navigate the market, whether they’re buying, selling, or investing.
A lot of my drive comes from my grandfather and my father. My grandfather was a pillar in our community in Ecuador—a governor, a businessman, someone everyone came to for advice. He showed me the importance of being a resource to others, of giving without expecting anything in return. My father, on the other hand, is humble, content with simplicity, and taught me the value of honesty and integrity. Their influence shaped how I approach my business today—it’s not just about closing deals; it’s about being someone my clients can rely on for the long haul.
When I met Kim, my life took on a new focus. Together, we’ve built a life here in Idaho with our blended family of three kids. Kim eventually joined me in real estate, and together, we’ve created a business that’s rooted in trust, hard work, and caring for the people we serve.
Kim: The moment I decided to join Carlos in real estate felt like a leap into the unknown. I had spent years working in healthcare, thinking I’d always be in a 9-to-5 job, stuck in the routine of clocking in and out. COVID-19 only made things worse. The pressure, exhaustion, and stress of working in the hospital during the pandemic pushed me to my breaking point. I’d come home miserable, and Carlos could see how unhappy I was. He encouraged me to take a risk, leave behind what felt safe, and join him in real estate.
At first, it was hard to step away from the stability of healthcare, but working with Carlos quickly opened my eyes to new possibilities. Running our own business gives us the freedom to explore countless opportunities within real estate, allowing us to pursue the things that align with our passion and expertise. Real estate has given me a sense of freedom and excitement that I never experienced in a traditional job.
As a team, we complement each other. Carlos has years of industry experience, both in working with clients and managing his own property flips. Born and raised here, I have a deep knowledge of the area, which has been invaluable when helping people relocate here or find the right community for their lifestyle. Together, we are able to offer a level of service that meets our client’s needs and exceeds their expectations!
Real estate has given us both a meaningful career we love and more control over our time, which means we can focus on the things that truly matter. Our blended family includes three kids, Sophia, Liam, and Auggie. In our free time, we love being outdoors, hiking, and paddleboarding. The sense of joy we both feel every day because we get to do the things we love has made every obstacle on this journey worth it.
